No. They work on the same problem from different sides, and either one alone is a complete product. The pair exists because collagen is lost from the inside and the surface, and covering only one is covering half.
Sunlight degrades retinol and retinol makes skin more sensitive to sun. Using it at night solves both. Sunscreen the next morning is not optional — without it you undo the work.
It might, if you go too fast. Neck skin is thinner than facial skin and has fewer oil glands, so start at once or twice a week and build up over four to six weeks. Some dryness in the first fortnight is normal. If it stings or stays red, drop back.
There is nothing in it to taste. No flavouring, no sweetener. In hot any hot drink it dissolves in one stir and leaves no grit, no film and no chalk.
Give both eight to twelve weeks. Retinol is slow by nature and that is not a fault of the formula. Anyone promising you a fortnight is selling you something else.
Neither is. Collagen peptides come from bovine hide and fish skin, and the cream contains milk lipids. If a brand sells you vegan collagen, it is not collagen.
